Tyler Straight

Tyler was born and raised in Western New York and has spent the last twelve years chasing everything that swims across Western New York and Pennsylvania with a fly rod and his custom flies. Tyler's home waters are tributaries of the south shore of Lake Erie and Ontario, the warmwater rivers of Western New York, and the coldwater freestone trout streams of north-central Pennsylvania. Fly fishing and the outdoors are his passion and he enjoys helping others enhance their fly fishing experience by sharing his experience and knowledge. He is the owner of Autumn Siren Flies, named after the fly he caught his first steelhead on, through which he sells his custom tied flies. His specialty is tying flies for Lake Erie steelhead, brown trout, and Lake Ontario salmon. He has been a featured fly tier at the Fly Fisher's Workshop, Cabin Fever, Fly Fishing Film Tours and at several Trout Unlimited and Federation of Fly Fisher meetings. Tyler graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Environmental Science and now works for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation.
