Tim Thomas - Biography

Tim Thomas from Ontario is the co-captain of Finders Keepers Sportfishing, a professional tournament team targeting a variety of fish species year round in a variety of tournament formats. While the Sodus Bay area of Lake Ontario is considered his home waters, he competes in tournaments all across the state. Specializing in trout and salmon fishing during the open water season and Pike/Perch fishing in the winter, he works with a multitude of companies to produce, test, utilize, and promote new products and techniques. He is also a high school teacher of science (earth science, meteorology, and physics) and has developed an Outdoor Club and youth fishing program as part of his school’s after school program. He appears at many events held at Bass Pro Shops, Field & Stream, Cabela’s, Fish307, and local tackle shops offering insightful seminars with new product demos and hands-on opportunities for anglers. He is also the President of the NYS Ice Pro-Am Corporation and Tournament Director for the NYS Ice Pro-Am Series and statewide NYS Winter Classic Tournament. With an emphasis on exposing the world-class fishery NY State has to offer, these events continue to grow, providing increased tourism and involvement within the fishing industry of NY State.
