As a fish biologist and science communicator with New York Sea Grant, I specialize in the Great Lakes and focus on sharing science-based information in new and engaging ways. I'm passionate about teaching fishing techniques, and recently hosted a women's walleye fishing seminar on Oneida Lake. Previously, I worked as a fisheries scientist for various federal agencies, where I had the pleasure of spending many of my days aboard a research vessel. I grew up in Oswego County and was completely spoiled by all the fishing opportunities to be had; from walleye fishing Oneida Lake, to ice fishing Sandy Pond, to trying endlessly to hook a steelhead in the Salmon River, I loved it all.
