Shane Thombs

Shane Thombs is the owner/operator of FINtastic Sportfishing and has been in the charter fishing industry since 1995. Shane is a Charter Captain that fishes primarily Lake Ontario and Lake Erie and grew up in Stoney Creek Ontario and now lives in Beamsville Ontario. He believes as fisherman, we live in the best part of the world with two of the very best Great Lakes located only a 30 minute drive from his house in Niagara Region. Having a smaller sized boat to trailer between the two lakes means plenty of opportunities to get out trolling for Salmon and Trout or Walleye when the conditions dictate one lake with more opportunities.
Shane will share his learnings of trolling fast for Summer time Lake Erie walleye. A concept that has been growing in popularity in the Eastern Basin after much success from the Central Basin of Lake Erie. No longer is the slow troll necessary to put walleye in the boat.
