Nick Melson

Nick Melson is the Manager of Government and Community Engagement for the New York State Canal Corporation responsible for Western New York. In addition to this role, Nick also serves as the Western Region Project Manager for the Lake Ontario Resiliency and Economic Development Initiative (REDI). Assigned to the Reimagine the Canals team to support public engagement, Nick's work at Canals has focused on enhancing public angling opportunities along the tributaries being bolstered with enhanced flows from the Canal System. A political scientist by training, Nick brings more than 10 years experience in State and Local Government to the Canals team.
