Gary Katta

Captain Gary Katta has over 35 years of Lake Erie Walleye fishing experience and over 15 years of charter fishing experience. As a Dunkirk NY native Captain Gary has spent many of his days fishing Lake Erie and its tributaries.

Captain Gary grew up on the Lake Erie shoreline and began fishing Lake Erie with his Father, Grandfather, Uncles, Brothers and friends. Captain Gary quickly learned his love of Lake Erie and fishing at an early age. In the mid-eighties Captain Gary discovered his passion for walleye fishing, deep water techniques and salmon fishing on Lake Ontario. Using his experience in both fisheries Captain Gary has developed the skills necessary to be a productive Charter Captain. Captain Gary incorporates his enthusiasm and love of the sport as well as his love of Lake Erie and Ontario to offer his clients a thrilling and informative experience aboard his boat on a day of fishing.

Captain Gary is a United States Coast Guard Master Captain (25 tons), an avid angler, diver and hunter. He is a member of the Eastern Lake Erie Charter Boat Association, Erie Pa. Charter boat Association and represents several tackle companies.

When Captain Gary is not fishing Captain Gary may be at work as a Captain/Firefighter/EMT with City of Dunkirk Fire Department, you may also find him Captaining the departments 25' rescue boat.
