Eastern Lake Erie Perch Fishing Clinic

The Greater Niagara Fishing Expo is excited to offer an Eastern Lake Erie Perch Fishing Clinic on Saturday, February 21, 2026, during the Greater Niagara Fishing Expo. This clinic is taught by a team comprised of a local, long-time Lake Erie fisherman and an eastern Lake Erie charter captain. The focus of this school is to provide all levels of anglers with the knowledge they need to enjoy finding and catching Lake Erie Yellow Perch. This Clinic covers the following:

• Basic Boat Considerations and Setup
• Understanding Perch Patterns and Habits During Different Seasons
• Basic Electronics: Must-Haves and Nice-to-Haves
• Basic Gear and Equipment
• Where to Fish on the Eastern Basin of Lake Erie
• Tackle, Bait and Lures
• Perch Rig Tying
• Planning Your Outing
• Safety & Courtesy on the Water
• Proper Fishing Handling, Storage, and Catch & Release Considerations

Registration Information
Admission to this clinic is free with general admission to the Expo. Seating is limited and will be closed when the class reaches capacity to ensure a productive, hands-on learning environment for all. Pre-registration is recommended to ensure you get a seat.
