Captain Craig Sleeman

Captain Craig Sleeman is from Upstate New York and has been competitively Walleye and Perch fishing for the past 15 years. Some of his accomplishments include winning the 2017 Sunset Bay Walleye Shootout along with two 2nd place finishes in 2014 and 2015 along with a victory on Central New York's Oneida Lake. Craig's credentials also include numerous top 10 finishes in the North Eastern Walleye Circuit. This past season the team collected 3 Big Fish awards on Lake Erie and were short just a few ounces at the i-1 Baits Invitational in 2016. His team, known as the Midnight Express, participates in early Spring fishing throughout the Finger Lakes region of the state and competes in Perch fishing tournaments in seneca and Keuka Lakes. They carry with them 10 championships and 5 top five finishes in each of the respective tournaments.

 Locally the Team works with numerous groups and organizations supporting Soldiers from Fort Drum on a “Take a soldier fishing” experience along with heading up a team of young fisherman at the Fairport Central School District.

Lately Team Midnight Express has set their sights on Walleyes in plans for fishing the Masters and National Walleye circuits. Team Midnight Express is carried by a Ranger 621 FS series hull and it runs on a Pro Mercury Verado 300 Hp Motor. Equipped with Humminbird Electronics, Minn Kota Trolling Motor and Bert’s Custom Tracks. They utilize a number of Trolling and jigging techniques and are excited about the opportunity to share their knowledge.

Just recently Craig has been appointed to the National Pro Staff for Smithwick, Bomber and the Bandit Lure company. His expertise on the water combined with the quality of these fine product lines will be tough to top in the upcoming season!
