Bruce Morrison, Team Lead for Sea Lamprey Control at Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Sault Ste. Marie, will speak on "Sea Lamprey Control in the Great Lakes: Focus on Lake Ontario." His 35-year career started as a Fisheries and Oceans Canada student intern, followed by four years researching sea lamprey and Lake Huron whitefish at the University of Guelph with the Great Lakes Fishery Commission (GLFC). He spent 13 years with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF), managing fisheries in Lakes Ontario and Erie and the St Lawrence River, before returning to Fisheries and Oceans Canada in his current role. A passionate outdoors person, Morrison is an avid angler, hunter, and camper and values bi-national cooperation for shared fisheries, especially with the GLFC. Holding a B.Sc. in Biology and an M.Sc. in Statistics from the University of Guelph, Morrison's expertise is widely recognized.
