Captain Brent attended the US Coast Guard Academy in the fall of 1990 in New London, Connecticut and left the academy in the spring as a licensed six-pack captain. He later attended a Maritime school in the fall of 1998, where he obtained his Master Captain's License for 50 tons inner waterways. He later had his license increased to a Master 60-ton Outer Coastal, with towing and lock navigation. Currently, Brent is a full-time charter captain on Lake Erie for perch, walleye, bass and musky. Brent can also be found charter fishing the Gulf of Maine for ground fish and tuna, or in Key West for mahi-mahi and sailfish.
Currently, his boat is a 2022 Hewescraft Ocean Pro, totally equipped with the latest electronics including radar, structure scan and active target. His charter boat has a partially enclosed cabin with heat and AC and a semi-private head.
When Brent is not fishing, you can find him on his farm in Attica, New York playing around with HVAC. In the fall after the fishing season starts to wind down, Brent is a professional elk hunting guide in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Idaho. His passion is helping people fulfill their outdoor dreams. In the fall of 1996, Brent married the love of his life, Katie, and he lives with her in Attica, New York. Brent and his wife never had kids of their own, but they are called mom and dad by many, as they both mentor those that they encounter.
