Bill Sweitzer

Bill has been with the New York State Canal Corporation for 12 years. He joined the Public Affairs Office in 2012 and in 2015, as Director of Marketing, he began leading the Canal Corp's marketing and promotion efforts and assisting in community and stakeholder outreach. Recently, he has had the opportunity to combine his love for fishing and his passion for NY's Canals through Canal Corp's Fall Fishing Program. In 2021 and 2022 Bill hosted "On the Water Angling Adventures' highlighting western NY and Canal fishing opportunities. Bill is from the Capital District and when not on the Canals, he can be seen dropping a line in Lake George & Lake Champlain.
