Accomplished and experienced anglers Destin DeMarion, Brad Brodnicki and Joe Fonzi, all of whom claim Lake Erie as their home waters, weigh in on the current state of the lake as it relates to smallmouth bass fishing. Moderated by Western New York native Todd Ceisner of In-Fisherman and BassFan.

  • Joe Fonzi (Gasport, NY) is a multispecies charter captain who has witnessed Lake Erie's evolution as a world-class fishery firsthand. From perch to walleye to bass, he's tuned into the year-round patterns and is an expert at reading the water and conditions to help avoid common mistakes on the big water.
  • Destin DeMarion (Harborcreek, PA) is a seasoned tournament angler who's competed at the national level (Bassmaster Elite Series 2020-21) and can offer insights on the impact of modern sonar technology as well as lure breakdowns and fishing Erie with a tournament mindset.
  • Brad Brodnicki (Amherst, NY) has represented WNY in many regional and national tournaments for grassroots anglers over the years and is an expert at breaking down offshore structure and triggering bites in cold-water situations.
