Ron Ziarnowski - Biography

Ronald (Ron) Ziarnowski, is a member of the Lake Erie Chapter - International Federation of Fly Fishers and a fly fisherman with 40 plus years experience. Ron is presently program chairman with the Lake Erie Chapter where he plans guest speakers at monthly meetings, trips and stream side outings and instructions. Also, Ron represents the club at the local Orvis store with presentations at their Fly tying 101 classes, as well as their fly fishing 101. Ron was awarded the International Federation's Lew Jewett Memorial Lifetime Award for fly tying in 2014. He is experienced in fly tying, fly fishing and fly rod building. Currently responsible for teaching intermediate and advanced fly tying at the LEC monthly meetings, and the Chapter's involvement with our annual Ray's Kids Day at Reinstein Woods. Ron fly fishes extensively in New York State, but also in Montana and Alaska for both cold and warm water species of fish. Ron was a former vice-president of WNY Trout Unlimited as well as education director.
